Since I last wrote, I'm now an A-R-C-H-I.... inching ever closer to the day when I will be required to carry a million dollar liability policy to C.Y.A. in the event that the jurisdiction governing my license inadvertantly gave me a license despite passing 9 exams.
I digress. I called this Revelations because the other night I had one. It doesn't happen often so when it does, I take note.
I have recently returned to religion, not any one specific type or practice but G-d in general. I've grown from the arena where faith is not "cool" and realized what an important role it can have in your life.
In that sense - my revelation is this:
Architecure and Architectural Education come about in the same manner as a thorough course in Theology or several years as a Catholic.
I never really understood what it was I was learning or the correlation it had on what I was doing or who I was being.
It takes many years to coagulate this information into some sort of cohiesive mass that makes sense.
You learn that A and B are true. But never infer that C is out there but could be derived from D & E.
All I can do now is learn the whole alphabet.
I don't care if this makes any sense. It works in my head.
